MIMSGG will hold a reading group event in preparation for the Politics and Aesthetics of Obsolescence conference (Oct 12-13), where we will discuss excerpts from Kathleen Fitzpatrick’s book Planned Obsolescence (2011) and Joel Burges’ Out of Sync & Out of Work: History and the Obsolescence of Labor in Contemporary Culture (2018).
